Radiology Response: this is typically because a patient is too large and or too heavy to fit in our scanners. Weight limit 250kg, the width of the bore of the scanner is 70cm so patients wider than this will not fit.

What is your Projected MRI demand within the trust/health board (% increase)?

18% over next 3 years.


Radiology Response: we have seen a 19% increase in MRI activity over the last 12 months and expect this to continue.
