Request Summary: HPB or Upper Gastrointestinal (GI) Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNS)
Request Category: Health
Question Number 1: Request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. Hepato-pancreato-biliary (HPB) clinical nurses serve patients with complex and life-threatening malignant and benign pancreatic and biliary diseases. They work in a variety of geographical areas, specialist services and at different levels of practice. They may have different job titles, for example HPB or Upper Gastrointestinal (GI) Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNS) or HPB or Upper GI Advanced Nurse/Clinical Practitioners (ANP/ACP) or HPB or Upper GI Nurse Consultant. I would like to request the following information from the Trust- - How many HPB or Upper GI nurses (including CNS/ANP/ACP/Nurse consultants) are currently employed at the Trust?
Answer To Question 1: In 69ÀÏʪ»ú¸£Àû we have two UGI/HPB CNS’s: one band 6 (WTE) one band 7 (0.8WTE). Plus an ACP whose role also covers a lot of other things, so not 1WTE but probably 0.5-0.75 WTE.
