Car Parking at 69ÀÏʪ»ú¸£Àû District Hospital

Information about the car parking situation at 69ÀÏʪ»ú¸£Àû District Hospital: The discussion around car parking at the hospital needs to be put into some context. On the 54-acre site 69ÀÏʪ»ú¸£Àû District Hospital has capacity for 450 inpatients per day, sees 250,000 outpatients per year and has a workforce in excess of 5,000. To cater for this, the hospital currently provides 2,177 spaces for car parking. There are 720 for patients and visitors which includes 20 drop-off bays, 115 spaces for blue badge holders and 14 spaces for charging staff and visitor electric vehicles, the remainder are for staff. Following the launch of the staff hopper bus, in March 2024, with changes in car parks 8 & 9, 40 parking spaces were transferred from staff to patients.

Patients and Staff to Benefit From New Shared Electronic Record

The three trusts that form the Acute Hospital Alliance - 69ÀÏʪ»ú¸£Àû, Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust - have embarked on a new programme to implement a new shared Electronic Patient Record (EPR) across the three organisations. With backing from the Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire Integrated Care Board (BSW ICB), the significant investment over the 23/24 – 26/27 financial years will enable clinical staff within the region to digitally share patient information between Trusts.

69ÀÏʪ»ú¸£Àû Hospital has launched new webpages, to support patients, families and carers affected by cancer. Developed in collaboration with patient and public voice partners (PPVs) and people with lived experience, the new cancer services information pages cover specific cancers, including symptoms, treatment options and ongoing care, as well as guidance on preparing for appointments, support services and resources available and accessible information.
